“ Las gorditas de don angel where amazing try the gorditas with cheese and carne de asada there really good I like this place has to be one of my fav restaurants in merlose. I liked how everything was in the store it was very clean and there were free lollipop's. And they have the best Mexican food amazing in my opinion also the service is very nice they where very nice and they where patient when I was ordering I would definitely eat here again also it's pretty clean and I like how there Gorditas have this nice texture and taste very tasty. 4 stars reason why I didn't give 5 stars is that they cost a lot for just two tacos! ”
“ Walk in and find a seat. Smaller place, but didnt have a problem finding a seat. Waitstaff will come by. Service was great. Older woman was my waitress and was attentive and extremely kind. I ordered a medium horchata, which was a good size. Flavor was a bit off, possibly watered down? To eat I had 5 gorditas. I liked that they weren't oily, someplaces basically fry them which is too much oil in my opinion. I had 1 deshebrada (shredded beef and potato). It was too beef stew-y for me. It wasn't bad, just not my thing. I probably shouldn't have ordered it since I'm indifferent about beef stew. 2 chicharron gorditas, 1 prensado en salsa roja and 1 botanero en salsa verde, both were good. The asada (steak) with cheese was the best, I got two of those. The green salsa wasn't spicy. Tasted fresh with the blended cilantro in it. The red salsa was really good. Perfect amount of heat. Solid meal and great value for the price. CASH ONLY - there's an ATM inside. ”

“ Best Gorditas in Melrose Park! This corner spot is authentic and delivers homemade food at a steal of a price. The horchata is delicious, the tacos and Gorditas taste amazing and authentic. I've been here multiple times and have yet to eat something I didn't love. The portions are small so you can choose and try multiple types of each item. However, you have to get the asada tacos, they are mouth watering and grilled to perfection with relentless flavor. Also, the menudo pays homage to original and real comida de México. ”
“ Loved the gorditas and the Deshebrada burritos, just like mom used to cook them, my Mom was born and raised in Santiago Papasquiaro. So definitely hit home trying this gorditas de Chile "Pasao" like mom used to say it. I'm not feom Chicago but will be my go to spot when I come back next time. ”
